Knowledge Management Learning New Things

Try to learn a new skill and get stuck!

This also happened to me and today I am going to share with you my three-step formula, how you can learn any skill you want without stuck.

1. Figure out how you learn best.

Everyone's learning style is different.

You need to figure out what is your learning style how you learn best.

Someone learns by reading blog posts, someone's documentation, someone watching videos and so on.

I understand by watching videos, in your case, this may be documentation. So try all of these methods and figure out what process you can learn most.

2. Focus on learning one thing at a time.

You start learning one thing after a few days you shift to another skill again few days another skill. This became a loop.

This also happened to me.

How do I get out of this loop?

Need dedication and proper monitoring. If you want to get out of this loop you want to stick with your specific skill.

1. Make your cleat goal.

2. Write down what you achieved by learning this skill.

3. Create an outline.

4. Make a routine and follow it strictly.

If you follow these steps I can assure you that you will be able to focus on one thing.

3. Learn the thing.

Here are some tips on how to learn things

☠️Making mistake

The best part of learning is making mistakes.

If you don't make mistakes you can't identify your weakness.

Make mistake.

Learn from mistakes. Solve the problem.

Again mistake

Go deep into it.

Become an expert in this skill.

⁉️Ask questions

The best and most shortly way to learn any new skill is to ask questions.

Where do I ask questions?

Go to Google and find some forum related to your skill, go to Reddit and follow the subreddit to your topic. Ask some questions.

Read other people's questions and answers, and practice your home.

If you are learning new technology or programming language go to stack overflow. See what people say and try to learn from their questions.

🛃Teaching others

Another best way is teaching others.

Whatever you learn try to teach others.

Go to forums and now you try to give others answers. Share your thoughts on social media.

Share your learning journey on LinkedIn. Write blog posts.

🛌Sleep or take a small nap

Last but not least.

The most important part is.

You need to enough sleep to save information from short-term memory to long-term memory.

Also taking a 5-10 minute short nap is helpful for your learning progress.
